Fabulous Summer Bakes - with Howard Middleton (SOLD OUT)

Join Howard Middleton, a contestant on the Great British Bake Off, to learn how to produce a range of Fabulous Summer Bakes that just happen to be gluten free. This baking course is a fantastic introduction to gluten free baking but is equally interesting to bakers looking to experiment with a range of alternative baking ingredients and techniques.

On this full day "hands on" fabulous baking course you will work alongside Howard Middleton from the GBBO to make:

• Show stopping Hummingbird cake; a spectacular layered cake packed with tropical fruit and coconut; decorated with dried pineapple flowers

• Savoury gluten free choux profiteroles made with pea flour and filled with herby cream cheese and smoked salmon or seasonal summer vegetables

• Crusty Summer picnic gluten free baguettes - with your choice of flavours including olive, fresh basil and sun dried  tomato

Howard will regail you with stories and insights about his time on the British Institution which is the Great British Bake Off along will also bring along his fabulous gluten free:

• Summer Bakewell tarts with fresh raspberries and rosehip syrup for you to taste 
and during the course he will also demo
• Delicious Summer Berry Meringue Roulade, which will be your gluten free dessert at lunch.

You will get to take home all of the recipes.

This course is also suitable for vegetarians.

There will be plenty of time to chat to Howard Middleton about his baking journey and how he has developed a love of gluten free baking, pick up lots of tips on how gluten free needn't be a poor substitute and can taste as good as the "real thing" and also hear about Howard's Great British Bake Off experiences.

Howard will also have copies of his new book "Gluten Free Baking with Howard Middleton" for sale and he is happy to sign copies on the day and include a personalised message.
