Join us for a full day "hands on" fish masterclass with Christian Szurko, acclaimed chef and owner of JH Manns, one of the largest independent fishmongers in the North.  This is the perfect course for those who love eating fish but are unsure how to prepare fresh raw fish and transform it into great tasting meals.  Christian who has worked at the Ivy in London is passionate about showing people how you can cook British fish to create simple but mouth watering dishes. During this full day "hands on" cookery course you will learn all the knife skills needed to prepare fish prior to cooking. On the day you will prepare 5 scintillating fish dishes which will typically include:

  • Grilled Cornish Squid with White Beans and Radicchio
  • Dressed Whitby Crab with Celeriac and Mache (an Ivy Restaurant classic)
  • Asian Baked Wild Seabass in Banana Leaf with Snake Beans and Fragrant Rice
  • Treacle Cured Salmon
  • Rainbow Trout with Horseradish Cream, Roast Cumin, Watercress and Roast Beetroot


Course Times 10 - 4pm

This course includes refreshments and an informal light lunch which Christian will cook for you on the day
