Beers Of The World - Tasting & Matching

Join a tutored beer tasting at Hartingtons hosted by Master Brewer Alex Barlow and author of the award winning ALL BEER Guide. The evening starts at 7:00 pm when you are welcomed at the School of Food with a selection of canapes and have time to meet fellow beer tasters over a welcome drink. The evening will include a tutored tasting of at least 6 widely diverse Ale, Lager & Lambic beers using the ALL BEER Flavourmax™ glass accompanied by a series of tasting plates chosen to perfectly match the beers. As well as the matching Alex will explore some of the trends in beer flavours providing a fascinating insight into the beers to watch.

This entertaining tour through some of the World’s notable beer styles will illustrate each style's development, typical ingredients and brewing techniques used. Each beer will be matched with a tasting plate of carefully chosen food for you to enjoy.

This event is perfect for beer connoisseurs, aspiring brewers, curious foodies and people working in the hospitality industry who want to be able to offer their customers more insight into how to match food and drink. 

The event starts at 7.00 pm and is held in our converted mill in the heart of Bakewell. The event finishes around 9.30 p.m. with complimentary teas and coffees.
